Lets chat about microblading for a minute…. ~ Microblading is one of my most requested services but really I've learned that by using that term most clients really just want good brows. So here's a few things to know! =1. Microblading is……a technique for enhancing the appearance of the eyebrows, in which pigment is placed into the skin in fine, short strokes resembling hair, using a hand tool with a blade formed of tiny needles.=2. Microblading is not suitable for all skin types (actually a very small percentage of my clients are good candidates). Make sure you find an artist who is educated on different methods and what will work best for you instead of continuing with a procedure simply because you asked for it. = 3. Microblading typically does not look good alone….we all want fluffy brows so shading is usually required to help blend seamlessly. =4. It is not SEMI permanent! Although most permanent makeup artist use techniques and pigments that are designed to fade (that's one reason why our brows look so natural and require maintenance) we have no way of knowing how long pigment will stay in someone's skin. =5. Good brows arent easy (or cheap 🤷‍♀️). No matter what end result you'd like, find a highly trained and skilled artist who can offer different methods to create the best brow for you. =Finally….find an artist who isn't afraid to say no. I have many clients who request services that I know won't work well with their skin type or facial features and I'm not afraid to tell you the reason why I won't do that service.
