When did it become a bad thing to take care of ourselves? Why do women constantly apologize for 'treating' themselves!? What makes us always pour ourselves into our families, work, and everything else anyone asks but we still feel guilty for taking care of us? This past few years I've worked hard to find my worth and its still a struggle some days. Yes, I said worked!!! And….it shouldn't be that way. We get so lost in who everyone else thinks we should be that we forget to focus on who we were created to be. I pushed down my feelings, my true character and my needs for too many years that it's been a fight to not feel guilty feeling comfortable in who I am! I didn't take care of myself mentally, physically, or emotionally and instead poured out to everyone else that needed me. Now before you go all Karen on me….hear me out. There IS NOTHING WRONG WITH TAKING CARE OF PEOPE YOU LOVE. But……Sis, take care of you too! And I'm not apologizing for one second because I love ALL the treatments I've invested in facials, massages, skincare, a little botox, therapy too and you know what? I didn't ask one single person's opinion. Why? Because they don't have to live in my skin!! I do and after years of coming last, I deserved a little self love. BTW….no filter here. A little foundation, mascara and eyeshadow today is it! Permanent brows, lips, and liner along with a healthy me!! Side note: I love a good filter though If you need a service I'm always up to chat about my favorites!! My fee routine has completely changed my life.
